A Foundation of British Orthopaedic Excellence My journey in surgical excellence began in 1983 in the United Kingdom, where I underwent rigorous training at the Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital. During this pivotal era, I had the privilege of working alongside pioneers of modern orthopaedics, including Mr. Derek McMinn—the innovator behind the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing technique.

I further refined my specialization in knee surgery at King George Hospital in Essex under the mentorship of Mr. John Ireland. My time in the UK was defined by high-volume exposure to total joint replacements and the then-emerging field of arthroscopic surgery. By 1987, I was awarded my FRCS Diploma from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, a testament to a decade of elite surgical preparation.

Pioneering Corporate Healthcare in India Returning to India in 1990, I became the first Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Tamilnad Hospital (Gleneagles Health City), where I was instrumental in building the department from the ground up. My leadership continued at Sundaram Medical Foundation as Head of Orthopaedics, and later at Apollo Speciality Hospital, focusing on the most complex joint replacement and spine surgeries. This blend of British precision and Indian clinical volume forms the backbone of my career today as Director of Orthopaedic Services, MGM HealthCare, Chennai
